Burczak Picture Framers has expanded it’s wings. 26 Victoria Road has been home for just over three years, with the dream of always opening up a space in Pietermarizburg for fine art. The gallery has been aptly named after the man who started Burczak Picture Framers in 1967 – Mieczyslaw Burczak. A Polish name that was a mouthful to everyone in town, he was fondly called “Maurice” (Morris) to most. To keep his legacy alive, it felt only apt to name the oldest part of the business as something new.
The Maurice Gallery is a space where patrons can view fine art and an arrange of prints, buy bespoke gifts for loved ones, enjoy great coffee in the coffee bar, or simply have a quiet place to do some work at one of our hot desks
